On Saturday we headed over to Becky, Brian, and Owen’s house for some swing time and egg hunting.  It was perfect weather and really fun.  We were really lucky and Becky took pictures.  Moxie found her own egg and got a cool toy for her efforts.  She ate some pea puree, baby cheetos, and had a totally fabulous time.

Moxie tried out swinging for the first time.  It took her a little time to figure out that it was fun–but once she did–she was a HUGE fan.  Every once in a while Moxie and Owen would look at each other.  It was all really sweet.

Moxie has discovered the fun of chewing washcloths.  Previously bathing Moxie required two washcloths: one for her body and one for her head.  Now we need three.  Moxie grabs the first wet washcloth she can get her hands on and chews and sucks on it from beginning of bath all the way through to getting on her PJs.  It is really cute and hopefully harmless.  It’s ok to eat baby soap right?

We had our family pictures taken by our dear friend Becky.  Her darling little boy is Moxie’s crush Owen (he’s 9 months old, beautiful blue eyes, and an expert crawler).  Anyway, Becky was kind enough to come over to our place and take pictures of our zany bunch.  Bibi was there to help with logistics and we snapped a few pictures of her too.

Moxie skipped her nap that morning so she wasn’t as cheery as she usually is.  However, Becky worked her magic and got some cutie-patootie-ness to come through.

Here’s some of our favorites:

Today while Bibi and I were making baby food (sweet potatoes and chicken) Moxie spent her time dragging Main (the straight shot between our dining room table and the windows in the living room).  She did this while chewing on a carrot puree ice cube jammed inside a mesh bag.  She got it everywhere and also had a super good time.

She had a great time and got carrot everywhere.
Bibi is a speed cleaner.  Moxie barely even noticed she was being de-carrotted.

As Moxie gets bigger we are pretty sure she is going to do most of her traveling on the shoulders of her dad.  She already spends a fair amount of time up there.  It is a little harder these days because she doesn’t quite have the core strength (or attention span) to stay upright.  She does, however, know how to grab on to Strider’s hair and enjoy the ride.  Here’s a couple shots, one from November 10 2012 and one from March 6 2013 to show how much she digs being way up high.
