Pili and Moxie are becoming pretty good friends. They get each other in a special brain eating way.

Our wonderful friend Becky came by and took pictures of the lot of us after Moxie’s birthday. It was a little like herding cats but we clean up well.

We are sending thank you cards for all the thoughtful gifts and attention Moxie got for her first birthday. I wanted to draw robots on the back of the envelopes to give them a little extra something. My robot is a floating crappy box head and the ones Strider drew were, well, way better.

For a week each summer Moxie’s daycare provider takes a much needed vacation. This year Moxie’s Grandparents were kind enough to drive out from Wichita and take care of her while we went to work. It was so helpful for us to not have to take off work AND it was really fun for Mox to chill with the GPs. They took walks, played with bubbles, chased the dogs, and went to the mall. They took Moxie to her first indoor playground. As Moxie becomes more mobile these activites are more fun. Moxie is a very outgoing young lady. She chatted up the other parents and made friends with the kids. She also wrestled a lady bug.
Moxie climbed a mountain with a little help from her Grandparents and dad. She was so very proud of herself. Then she played on all the other things at the park. It was a good time and an even better nap afterwards.
