Look what I came home to. Just about the sweetest thing.
Know who takes ice cream (frozen yogurt) seriously? Moxie.
She knows the ice cream (frozen yogurt) store, she walks in announcing to the whole place what flavor she wants. Tonight she came in yelling “vanilla” and then “chocolate” (the only two flavors she knows). So she got a small cup with a small pile of chocolate (that she immediately licked). Then she got
to pick her toppings. She chose her “favorites” (note: dirt would be her favorite if it was multicolored and on the set of options for toppings). She got gummy bears, gummy fish (just one), coconut, and rainbow sprinkles. Pretty amazing.
We had grandma here for two whole weeks! It was amazing. She kept us fed and clothed and happy. We are completely lost without her. Moxie got lots of special time with her Grandma and Keen got lots of snuggles.
We got to have movie night that included puppy wrestling and dog hair on the floor.
Keen got time to chill with Grandma and do her exercises.
Keen is a month old! We have had a wonderful first few weeks with this little one. She is starting to track people with her eyes, some smiles (though likely a result of gas instead of happiness about family), and gets lots of snuggles from her sister.
Moxie is a great big sister. She helps with changing diapers, giving baths, and all kinds of things.
At my request Bibi and Moxie made rice krispy treats. Oh the amazingness. Moxie really likes helping with cooking. She has this fabulous kitchen stool (gift from cousin Ginger and Claire) and she is learning to be careful around the stove. She likes measuring things, carefully pouring, and is definitely interested in mixing. She is now the proud owner of two aprons (thanks Grandpa and Grandma AND Aunt Roxann) and likes to rock them while cooking.
Holy crap. We are on our own again. Bibi got here two days before Keen was born and stayed for her first 14 days of life. She helped keep Moxie on her routine, kept us fed and clothed, and was an amazing help. We got off to a great start. Thanks Bibi. Sorry we gave you an awful-one-red-eye-cold and you almost cut off your finger.
