We have had lots of adventures. Including: Moxie learning to use her eyes. Big doins’ I tell ya.

Happy One Month Birthday Moxie! Way to survive this long! We are so proud. We are less proud of how long it took us to post this. She is actually 5 weeks and 1 day old but, honestly, who is counting. Once she makes it to 10 months we are going to stop counting completely. For real.
Moxie is spending more time awake and is really freaking cute. Here she is looking out from a blanket while snuggling with her dad:
Moxie has been partying it up with Grandma and Grandpa this week. They have been patient with us as a new family while we slowly venture out of the house with for the first time. We have taken walks, trips to restaurants, and stores. We aren’t good hosts but they are great guests.
These days Moxie spends more time awake. She maintains a rigorous routine of eating, dancing, and sleeping.
She does a great job of moving her arms and legs. When we first brought her home she kept her legs and arms curled up close to her body. Now she kicks and reaches out to stretch her long, increasingly chubby, body.

We prefer break dancing over ballroom but we would be happy with either.
Moxie is a really good sleeper.

She is also a noisy sleeper. I don’t know how sleep habits change as a baby grows.
But I’ll take noisy good sleeper over quiet crap sleeper any day. She also makes the cutest wake up faces and her bed head looks strangely like her dad.

As a follow up to a previous post about our adventures fattening up Moxie–she had a doctor’s appointment this week and is gaining weight like a champ. The doc was quite impressed with Moxie’s progress and the accuracy of Strider’s infant scale.

For the last few days Moxie has gotten to hang out with Kiki. She has been helping all of us stay sane and really well fed (ask her about her pulled pork recipe). We are sad she is leaving tomorrow. Next time hopefully Glenn and Kai can join us too!

Moxie is spending more time awake. It is pretty fun. Strider’s has been hanging out with her doing tummy time and some back time too.
