We have recently discovered (thanks to Grandma and Grandpa) the awesomeness of mall play places. Recently we met up with some baby friends to hang out during a rainy afternoon. I am trying not to be “that mom” that freaks out about big kids running around and knocking over babies. I haven’t been that mom yet–but never say never.
For a week each summer Moxie’s daycare provider takes a much needed vacation. This year Moxie’s Grandparents were kind enough to drive out from Wichita and take care of her while we went to work. It was so helpful for us to not have to take off work AND it was really fun for Mox to chill with the GPs. They took walks, played with bubbles, chased the dogs, and went to the mall. They took Moxie to her first indoor playground. As Moxie becomes more mobile these activites are more fun. Moxie is a very outgoing young lady. She chatted up the other parents and made friends with the kids. She also wrestled a lady bug.
Moxie digs her exer-saucer. Call it whatever you want: jumper, play center, whatever. She loves it. She can entertain herself in this thing for a good 20 minutes. Once she is focused on her various buttons and toys we can make her bottles for the next day, cook (heat up) dinner, or feed the dogs. All important things. A few nights ago Strider decided to take some pictures of Mox in her contraption. They look pretty cool:
