Like father like daughter. Moxie is a HUGE fan of PB&J. She had her first one while visiting grandma and grandpa over thanksgiving. She’s had a few between. Tonight we grabbed dinner at the mall before hitting the indoor play place (livin’ last vida loca) for some shoe free fun time.

I ordered her a grilled cheese so she and I could split tomato soup and the sammy. They mixed up and Mox scored: white bread, peanut butter and grape jelly. The fact it was grape jelly instead of strawberry is the only reason Strider didn’t punch Mox and steal her dinner.

Anyway, homegirl loves it! She got special water (seltzer) in a cup with a straw, a tube of yogurt (strawberry flavor instead of the plain she usually gets, and her own sandwich.
You know, we do have a really good life.

We are sending thank you cards for all the thoughtful gifts and attention Moxie got for her first birthday. I wanted to draw robots on the back of the envelopes to give them a little extra something. My robot is a floating crappy box head and the ones Strider drew were, well, way better.

This is mine (above) and this is his (below)

Oh FOM (friends of mox)! We are so lame and have been complete failures of keeping you supplied with news and updates on our sweet girl. Guess what! She’s started driving. Ah how time flies! Big thanks to Jacque and Doug for giving Moxie this car (just after she was born actually) and to Strider for getting it all cleaned up. Grandma and I took Moxie out and she dragged Main for a while showing off to all the boys. Moxie’s neighbor friend Ollie will be home from te beach soon and the two of them can go for sidewalk drives. They will wear seat belts. Don’t worry.

Moxie got an iBert bike seat from Bibi and Babu (at the suggestion of Kristin and Glenn).  We had a fabulous time riding around the neighborhood.  She doesn’t love her helmet yet but we are working on it.

At first she was just curious about what has happening.  Then when she started to move she got a little nervous.  Finally, after a few minutes and she got used to the wind in her face, she really started smiling.  Now she wants to race the bigger kids on the block.
